The International Women's Coffee Alliance (IWCA) leads women's empowerment in the international coffee industry by supporting and growing a network of self-organized, self-governing, women-led chapters across the globe.

Each chapter develops and implements strategic initiatives to address their unique needs and challenges. As of 2017, IWCA has grown to include a network of 21 chapters, and in so doing, has created a powerful presence across the industry and globe.

In addition to being a large retail employer, Starbucks is also an important contributor to the US manufacturing sector. They employ nearly 1,000 people at seven large, industrial plants in Washington State, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Nevada and Georgia.
On the tour of the Kent Flexible Plant attendees will be guided through Starbucks’ 315k sq. ft. facility that through innovation and process optimization produces the best quality coffee, tea and soluble products (like VIA Instant coffee) in the world.

For over 20 years, the Coffee Quality Institute has dedicated itself to improving coffee quality and the lives of the people who produce it. Join us as we tour two of SCA’s exhibiting espresso machine manufacturers in SODO (south downtown Seattle). Attendees will see the nuts and bolts of machine production and assembly all the way to the final sellable machine. After the manufacturer tours, we will visit a local Georgetown brewery and then get back to the convention center in time for the short monorail ride to the Launch Party at the Museum of Pop Culture.
