How to Improve Corporate Sustainability Reporting Processes and Products and Set Your Company Apart

Lecture Description

In the past several years, corporate sustainability reporting has become increasingly relevant. Companies are seeking to publish end-of-year impact reports to set themselves apart from their peers, demonstrate their commitment to transparency, and share more broadly the compliance-based data they are already collecting. However, there remains a lack of awareness about the best way to organize and share impact data, and those tasked with sustainability reporting are often at a loss for where to begin. This lecture attempts to support companies to enhance their sustainability reporting skills, and explores the trajectory and importance of corporate accountability. It also provides listeners with a set of tools and best practices they can leverage to begin developing a practical business strategy to improve their sustainability, impact, or transparency reporting initiatives. Listeners will be introduced to various methodological frameworks for organization of data, and will understand the relevance of gathering stakeholder feedback throughout a reporting process. The lecture will also define the different types of industry-wide reporting and key terminology, and describe in detail how data shapes reporting opportunities. Listeners will finally walk away with a greater understanding of the steps they need to take in their own companies to ensure quality data year-over-year.
